The ME sends this email to authors whose proposals have been accepted for review. Authors are expected to send the framework drafts to the ME, who will send them along to the relevant reviewers.

ACCEPTANCE EMAIL TEMPLATE

Dear [AUTHOR(S)],

Our editorial collective is delighted with your proposal on XXXXXXXX. We are interested in publishing this as a XXXX word (feature/review/short article) in the [ISSUE NAME] Vol XX, No X (ISSUE DATE) issue.

We hope that you are interested in writing for Science for the People! If so, we are requesting that all authors provide a detailed outline of your article in advance of our committing to a full draft. Please see for an example on how to do this, and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions. Please let us know by XXXX if you can submit this outline. Outlines must be received by XXXXX (although earlier submissions are encouraged).

Please be aware that this is a provisional acceptance, subject to review by the editorial collective as well as to space and budget constraints. If your proposal is accepted, we will put you in touch with your editing team and send your contributor’s agreement. We can offer a payment of XXXX for your writing. We plan to publish your article in a print/PDF version of the magazine, however, we occasionally publish select articles as online-only features for reasons of space or timing.

Also, we are collecting demographic information on all our authors to help us stay accountable to the social justice mission of Science for the People. Please fill out our questionnaire . Any responses shared publicly will be anonymized; your responses will not be shared outside the editorial collective.

Thank you and greatly looking forward to hearing from you!

In solidarity, XXXXXX
