# What is PubCom?

The publication and communications committee is a group of volunteers from editorial collectives and the organization, including the managing editor and publisher. This group is primarily dedicated to the planning of issue themes and  topics, magazine finances, and outreach. The group meets as necessary, at least twice a year. If you are interested in joining pubcom, contact the managing editor.
